                               RESOLUTION NO. 19584
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES TO
                   GRANT VULCAN MATERIALS COMPANY PERMISSION TO
                   CONSTRUCT THREE MOORING ANCHORS ON A PORTION
                   OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA
                   AND HAMILTON COUNTY KNOWN AS THE MOCCASIN
                   BEND PROPERTY, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department
       of General Services be and is hereby authorized to grant Vulcan
       Materials Company permission to construct three mooring anchors 
on
       a portion of property owned by the City of Chattanooga and
       Hamilton County known as the Moccasin Bend property, subject to
       the following conditions:
       	    	 (1)  That a qualified professional archaeologist be
       present during mooring construction to monitor all earthmoving
       activity;
       	    	 (2)  That acquisition of a 404 permit be obtained from
       the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and
       	    	 (3)  That, if human remains are encountered or
       accidentally uncovered by earthmoving activities, all activity
       within the immediate area should cease; and, the county coroner 
or
       medical examiner, a local law enforcement agency, and the state
       archaeologist's office be notified at once (T.C.A. A711-6-107d).
